Engine (Power)
The Optima has three different powertrains to choose from. For a more energetic ride, the Optima EX and EX Premium have a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission that produces 178 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque.
You can also opt for the Optima's most powerful SX trim for a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that boasts an impressive 245 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
The 2020 Optima is notable for its great suspension that gives you a controlled, smooth drive even over bumpy terrain. Drivers who want a bit more control over the Optima's automatic transmission can enjoy improved handling with the Sportmatic sports shifter mode. The LX model is good for daily driving, but the turbocharged engine options are understandably quicker and more fun to drive. Depending on trim, you can get between 21 and 27 mpg in the city and between 30 and 37 mpg on the highway.
Interior
The 2020 Kia Optima has a luxurious interior with high-quality materials and comfortable cloth seats. You can drive in comfort with an eight-way seat adjustment and power lumbar support in the driver's seat, six-way passenger seat adjustment, height-adjustable seatbelt anchors, and a tilt and telescopic steering column.
