2020 Kia Telluride
The Kia Telluride is a bold crossover SUV with three rows of seats and an upscale interior with luxurious features. It's a new model for 2020 and is now the largest SUV in Kia's lineup. It can fit up to eight passengers depending on the configuration, and it comes loaded with tech and convenience equipment to keep you connected and comfortable. Trim Levels (Exterior)
Starting the 2020 Telluride lineup is the LX, which has 18-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, and acoustic glass on the front windshield. Taking a step up to the S gets you 20-inch wheels, while the EX comes with 18-inch wheels, power-folding side door mirrors, LED taillights, and acoustic glass on the side windows. The EX also adds a smart hands-free liftgate and the option for self-leveling rear suspension. Next in the lineup is the SX. This trim comes with 20-inch black alloy wheels, LED fog lights, LED projector headlights, a dual panel sunroof, and reverse tilt-down side mirrors.
Engine (Power)
The all-new Telluride gets a new engine: the Atkinson-cycle 3.8-liter V-6. This motor is capable of producing 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission sends power from the engine to the front wheels, and all-wheel drive is an available option for any of the trim levels.
Performance
You'll enjoy a smooth, composed ride when driving on curvy roads in the Telluride. The front-wheel drive versions have four driving modes which are eco, smart, comfort, and sport. Opting for all-wheel drive adds snow mode and all-wheel drive lock for better traction on slippery roads.
Interior
Everyone will sit comfortably on the simulated leather seats that are standard on the entry-level model of the Telluride. The S and SX have captain's chairs in the second row, reducing seating to seven. Genuine leather comes in the EX, and upgraded Nappa leather comes in the SX. The EX also adds ventilated front seats, and the high-end SX has a 10-way power-adjustable driver's seat, driver's seat memory, heated and ventilated second-row seats, and a 64-color mood lamp. The long list of tech includes an 8-inch touch screen in the LX and S and a 10.25-inch touch screen in the higher trims. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard along with Bluetooth and five USB ports. Along with the larger screen, navigation is an added feature in the EX trim and above. These models also have a wireless charging system, and the SX adds a 10-speaker Harmon Kardon stereo.
Safety Features
Standard safety features in the 2020 Telluride include a rearview camera, stability control, traction control, and hill start assist. All models also have rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning, and lane following assist. Additional standard safety equipment includes pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, rear parking sensors, and an adaptive cruise control system with stop-and-go. A blind-spot monitor is an added feature in the SX along with a surround-view camera system, front parking sensors, and a head-up display.
