Performance and Powertrain
This is a full parallel hybrid, not a mild assist system: the 1.6-liter turbocharged engine and the electric motor can each move the car. Kia rates the system at 232 combined horsepower, with 271 lb-ft of combined torque, driven through a six-speed automatic with paddle shifters. All-wheel drive with Terrain Mode comes on this car, which is the configuration that matters once the roads above Butler turn. The result is 35 mpg in town, 36 on the highway and 35 combined, which is unusual for an all-wheel-drive crossover of this size.
Warranties include 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain and 5-year/60,000-mile basic. All warranties and roadside assistance are limited. See retailer for warranty details.
