Slippery Rock Creek Anglers who are after trout and bass can fish in Slippery Rock Creek that runs through the McConnells Mill State Park. You can cast your line anywhere along the creek but not near or at any of the dam structures. The creek is stocked with trout several times in the trout season, and there is a fly fishing, catch, and release area at Armstrong Bridge. 5. Trout Streams Around the City Many of the streams in the region are regularly stocked by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission. The creeks are open for fishing throughout the year.
