The Kia Sorento hybrid is the new and improved version of Kia's three-row SUV, offering efficient powertrains without compromising on any of the features that have made the Sorento one of the leading vehicles in its class. All three trim levels are the same as their gasoline-powered counterparts in terms of interior features, with the only differences related to the powertrains. All three trims are powered by the same turbocharged 1.6L four-cylinder engine. The EX and the SX trims clock in at 227 horsepower, but the SX-Prestige pairs that engine with a stronger electric motor to generate more power at 261 horsepower. What's New and Improved for 2023? For 2023, the EX trim received two new features as standard: a frameless rearview mirror and an 8-way power-adjustable front passenger seat. The SX-level hybrid trim is new for this year and adds leather seating, AWD, a pair of captain's chairs instead of a bench seat for the second row, and rain-sensing windshield wipers, among other things. What's New for 2023? The changes for 2023 are relatively minor, as Kia has announced that they will be performing a refresh on the model in the 2024 model year. However, that's not to say that the updates aren't substantive. All trim levels of the 2023 Seltos have been upgraded with privacy glass that reduces the amount of ambient noise that makes it into the cabin, creating a smoother and quieter ride. Additionally, the S-level trim has been upgraded with additional standard safety features, including automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert sensors, and blind spot alert sensors. The 2L engine offers a combined average fuel economy rating of 31 mpg in FWD and 29 MPG in AWD, while the 1.6L engine clocks in at a combined 27 mpg. Infotainment and Cabin Technology The Seltos comes standard with remote keyless entry, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, and an 8-inch touchscreen on its infotainment system that can be upgraded to a 10.3-inch screen.
