To keep your car in the best possible condition possible, you should always have repairs performed by your dealership. These are a few of the Kia repairs we can perform if you need them.

Your Car Is Overheating

Under normal circumstances, your engine will always run at a high temperature for maximum efficiency. Its internal temperature, however, must be controlled to prevent it from overheating. If an engine gets too hot for too long, valves, pistons, cylinders, and other essential components can be permanently damaged. A rising engine temperature is caused by a failure in its cooling system.

Leaking coolant, a damaged thermostat, or a failed radiator cap are some possible causes of an overheating engine. Coolant removes heat generated in the engine and transports it to the radiator for removal. The thermostat controls the release of coolant and opens when the engine temperature gets too hot. The radiator cap controls the pressure in the cooling system. We’ll identify the cause of the problem and fix it.

Dirty Intake Manifold

Combustion is the force that moves your Kia, and efficient combustion relies on the correct fuel-air mix. Your engine uses fourteen times more air than fuel, as a large air volume is necessary to ignite the fuel-air mixture. The fuel and air mix in the intake manifold before being drawn into the cylinders. Fuel contains carbon, some of which is left in the manifold when the fuel-air mixture is drawn away.

The carbon remnants can build up in the manifold, and their presence alters the fuel-air mixture. The excess carbon can turn the fuel-air mixture fuel-rich. If this happens, you’ll use more fuel, and misfiring, stalling, and engine damage can occur. We’ll examine the manifold, and we can remove the carbon buildup to fix this problem.

Damaged Alternator

Your Kia requires a large amount of electricity to service the demands of its electrical systems. The alternator produces more than enough electricity to maintain all the systems and recharge your battery. Alternators, unfortunately, wear out in approximately eight years, and this will cause electrical problems.

A worn alternator produces progressively less and less electricity. Eventually, the alternator won’t be able to supply all the power demanded. When this happens, random electrical problems will become frequent. These problems will also affect essential components like the spark plugs and ignition system. If you have electrical issues, our technicians will test the alternator and install a new one if it’s failing.
