The trunk of a Kia Seltos

Easy to drive and just as easy on the eye, the stylish 2024 Kia Seltos is a subcompact SUV to be proud of. It’s loaded with sophisticated features as standard, but you can satisfy your exact needs with a choice of five trim levels and optional extras.

Seltos LX (AWD)

The Seltos LX has the same reliable 2.0L 4-cylinder engine as the S and EX trim levels, delivering 146 hp from up to 132 lb-ft of torque. Kia’s IVT transmission ensures smooth acceleration and good fuel economy.

Remote keyless entry and air conditioning are handy LX attributes. Many driver-assist technologies are included as standard, like Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, and Driver Attention Warning. A host of modern safety features is also present across all trims. The LX’s instrument and touchscreen displays are more compact than in other models, but you still benefit from Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.

Seltos S (AWD or FWD)

From the Seltos S upwards, you’ll find appealing extras like the Kia Smart Key with a push-button ignition and remote starting. There are added driver-assist technologies, including a Blind Spot Collision Warning and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist. The Safe Exit Warning stops passengers from leaving the vehicle when traffic is approaching.

Starting with the S trim level, dual 10.5″ panoramic displays (instrument and touchscreen) are included. The Seltos S and EX are available in FWD or AWD versions, with FWD models being slightly more fuel-efficient than other options.

Seltos EX (AWD or FWD)

Although it shares many of the S-trim’s features, the EX trim also borrows luxury elements from the top-tier SX model. These include a 10-way adjustable driver’s seat with 2-way lumbar support, solar-controlled glass to reduce interior heat build-up, and wireless phone charging. Again, mirroring the SX, there’s a sunroof option on the Seltos EX AWD.

Seltos X-Line (AWD)

Power is ramped up in the new X-Line model with a 1.6L 4-cylinder turbocharged engine that delivers 195 hp from 195 lb-ft of torque at 1,600-4500 rpm. For improved performance and to underscore its mean look, the X-Line comes adorned with larger 18″ gloss black alloy wheels. Like the SX, the X-Line is equipped with a traditional 8-speed automatic transmission.

Seltos SX (AWD)

The premier SX has the same high-performance engine and transmission as the X-Line. What else? There are 18″ machine-finished alloy wheels, state-of-the-art LED headlights, an auto-dimming rearview mirror (optional in other models), and a leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel. Notably, the audio jumps from a standard 6-speaker configuration to a premium Bose 8-speaker system with a sound-reactive mood lamp.
