If you’re in the area, here are several great places where you can have fun with the kids in Butler County, Pennsylvania.Bridges to Pittsburgh, PA

Altitude Trampoline Park

Altitude Trampoline Park is the largest in western Pennsylvania, with around 40,000 square feet of activities, including trampolines, dodge ball courts, basketball courts, a rock wall, a tumbling arena, a separate kids’ play area, and a parents’ lounge area. Order a salad or go for a pizza at the snack bar, and if you want to book a birthday or special event, Altitude Trampoline Park does that, too. If you’re visiting on a weekend, Altitude hosts special events for the whole family to enjoy on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Cranberry Community Water Park

Cranberry Township is a little community about 30 minutes away from Butler, and the Cranberry Community Water Park is an excellent place to bring the kids for fun. The facility features a 17,500 square foot swimming pool with multiple swimming lanes throughout for different swimming levels, and there’s a zero-depth wading pool for toddlers. The kids can ride down the water slides, play on the splash pads, and build castles in the sand play area. There’s also a sand volleyball court and a concession stand for snacks and drinks.

Fun Fore All

Fun Fore All is an indoor-outdoor activity center for year-round fun and entertainment for the whole family. Fun Fore All is also in the Cranberry Township and has over 70 arcade and ticket games, a snack bar, bumper boats, carnival-style kiddie rides, batting cages, miniature golf, a rock wall, and a four-story play area. Another awesome attraction to experience is Fun Fore All’s XD Dark Ride, a 4-D adventure game for the entire family.

Starlight Drive-In Theater

If you’re in the mood for a movie, take a drive downtown to the Starlight Drive-In Theater right in Butler. This 1950s-era theater, originally The Pioneer Drive-in, features three movie screens, a snack concession, an arcade, and hosts a flea market on Sundays. The theater plays both kids’ flicks and movies for grown-ups’ night out, and with the large parking area, every parking spot is the perfect spot to see the show.

Go Ape North Park

Go Ape North Park is Pennsylvania’s first treetop adventure park in McCandless Township, just 19 miles away from Butler. Go Ape has around 1,400 feet of zip lines where you and the kids can fly through the canopy of western Pennsylvania’s forests. The treetop obstacle course has a variety of paths and activities in varying levels of difficulty. Pack a lunch for a break in the park’s recreation area, and the park offers water throughout different points of the activity courses.

Butler, Pennsylvania may be a small town, but it packs a nice variety of family-oriented activities and attractions for the community and its visitors. If you’re in the area, these places offer some of the best in entertainment for everyone.
