A Kia Carnival parked outside of a building

Resembling an SUV, the handsome Carnival has been described as a “multi-purpose vehicle,” not a minivan. Whatever you choose to call it, this ride makes for the ideal family hauler with its robust powertrain, inviting cabin, and advanced safety features. Let’s take a look at the 2024 Kia Carnival, now on sale at your local Kia dealer!

Power and Performance

Each of the Carnival’s trims benefits from a naturally aspirated 3.5L V6 engine that generates a hefty 290 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. Not only does this performance result in strong acceleration and effortless highway cruising, but it also allows the vehicle to tow up to 3,500 pounds when it’s equipped with the optional tow hitch. The 8-speed automatic transmission that the motor pairs with is quick and precise.

The Carnival’s fully independent suspension, which includes a MacPherson strut in front and a multi-link setup in the rear, has been tuned to deliver predictable handling and a smooth riding experience.

Passenger Cabin

Airy, functional, and comfortable: the Carnival’s interior is everything a family needs and more! With its well-textured surfaces and sleek metallic trim, the cabin exudes an aura of sophistication, as well. Three rows of spacious seating accommodate up to eight people and include over 40 inches of legroom for the front and middle rows. Even those seated in the rear can stretch out with 35.6 inches of legroom.

Most trims come standard with second-row Slide-Flex seats. In addition to being able to slide forward for easy access to the third row, these seats serve as tables when folded down. The third row can be stowed within the floor if you need extra cargo space. EX, SX, and SX Prestige models feature tri-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, and integrated window sunshades for both back rows.

Infotainment System

In LX trim, the Carnival has been fitted with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system offering Android Auto/Apple CarPlay smartphone integration and Bluetooth hands-free technology. Other trims get a 12.3-inch display and support for built-in navigation, a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot, and SiriusXM satellite radio. An available in-cabin camera and intercom system makes it easy to communicate with rear passengers.

Driver Assists

An array of standard driver assists has been included with every Carnival, such as forward collision warnings, lane-keeping assistance, and rear cross-traffic alerts. The driver attention warning system features a leading vehicle departure alert, which uses audio and visual cues to let you know when the car ahead of you has moved forward.
